The Local Community Bezdan hosted the official opening of the office of the Civil organization
"Podunavlje"(Dunatáj-Danube)
on Thursday, the 20th March 2008 in the great hall of the LC.

The opening started with a welcomed speech from the President of the LC Bezdan Mihalj Pfaff, and after that the President of this organization Istvan Peter, the mayor of Kupusina, presented their work and the work of this youngest civil organization in Bezdan.
"Podunavlje" is already present in four other villages (Kupusina, Doroslovo, Svilojevo and Bogojevo) where the office work from July 2007, after Bezdan, expansion is planned for new offices in Svetozar Mileti? and Tele?ka.

The Secretary of "Podunavlje", Ilona Pelt, emphasized the goals of this organization, including training people for writing projects and assistance when you apply for assets of various funds; there is also the construction of the infrastructure, counseling the managers of small and medium-sized companies, the cooperation with other civil organizations and other.
The mayor of Bogojevo Istvan Nemeš spoke a few words of praise about this organization too.
Pastor Istvan, presidential candidate of the Hungarian coalition in the elections in January 2008, talked about the importance of gathering and the cooperation of people, of the creation and implementation of ideas, and than he wished a successful work to all who are involved in this venture.

After that, the ceremony is moved to the library, where the office "Podunavlje" is opened every Tuesday from 16 to 21h.

Zoltan Foki, director of the office in Bezdan, will in the future be in constant connection with other offices to exchange information and give assistance.
